Testing can be scripted or exploratory, it can be about functional requirements, about performance or about UX, but it's still
'just' testing, it's not QA.

QA is much more than testing. It is about securing Quality throughout the software life cycle. It includes peer reviews, risk analysis, root cause analysis and improvement actions for bug prevention and maintainability. Bug prevention is as important as bug fixing. It's about collecting statistics about bugs and hotfixes and analysing them to find trends and to see the effect of measures that one takes to improve quality and to increase customer satisfaction.

QA implies testing, but in some cases, the testing may even be optional, because a company may focus on algorithmic proof of a program beforehand, instead of testing aftwerwards.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17535437851942294488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7598190175117779404.post-23121098982673846702016-10-24T19:56:27.385+01:002016-10-24T19:56:27.385+01:00All plugs welcome Damian haha! I definitely see echoes of that in some of my favourite public speakers and its something I'd like to work on in future.Matthew Brettenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15187427748744845028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7598190175117779404.post-89449836414428807482016-10-24T13:45:11.101+01:002016-10-24T13:45:11.101+01:00Unabashed plug of relevant content: https://joecol...Unabashed plug of relevant content: https://joecolantonio.com/testtalks/125-communication-skills-testing-damian-synadinos/Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07226270854530425839noreply@blogger.com
